Description
Furfuryl alcohol resin , also known as furfuryl alcohol resin, is a general term for resins with furan rings. It is mainly obtained by polycondensation of furfuryl alcohol or furfural under the action of strong acid. It is a thermosetting resin containing furan rings in the molecular chain. Furfurone resin, furfurone aldehyde resin, furfuryl urea resin.
Uses
Furan alcohol resin is widely used in molding sand for cast steel, cast iron, ductile iron, advanced alloy and non-ferrous metal castings.

Preparation
A novel furan alcohol resin was prepared by polycondensation of furfuryl alcohol and furfural under the catalysis of oxalic acid.
Application
Furan alcohol resin has moderate viscosity, small shrinkage rate after curing, high bond strength, high bond strength, suitable viscosity, strong anti-corrosion performance, short curing time, low viscosity, high strength, low production cost, simple synthesis process, hardening With the characteristics of fast speed, low nitrogen content and low free aldehyde, it has achieved good technical and economic benefits when applied to the anti-corrosion engineering of bonded granite in sewage, foundry stone plants, and sewage treatment plants.
