メタフルオリダミド，農作物などの生理機能を増進あるいは抑制するために用いられる薬剤。植物の発芽，発根，生長，花芽分化，開花，結実，落葉，落果などきわめて多岐にわたる生理現象が制御?調節(jié)の対象となり，またそのための薬剤が多數開発されている?，F時點では，この種の薬剤が，使用されている農薬のなかで占めている割合は約2％前後とまだかなり低いものではあるが，將來その利用範囲が広まることが期待されている。
