Sulforhodamine G is an orange-red solid soluble in water. It is a fluorescent compound with an excitation peak at 531nm and an emission peak at 552nm.??
Sulforhodamine G can be incorporated in composites as a dye for characterizing fluorescent correlation spectroscopy based images. It can also be used in the development of an acceptor molecule that facilitates the emission of white light in a light emitting hybrid.?? ??

Sulforhodamine G is an ambipolar fluorescent dye that is used as an acceptor dye for organic electronics. It is a water soluble and hydrophilic dye that shows an absorption peak at a wavelength of 529 nm.Staining Procedures
The specimen is treated for 5 seconds in a 1 mM freshly prepared and filtered solution of sulforhodamine G before sectioning. Hand sections are mounted in paraffin oil for fluorescence microscopy.
