| Hazard Information | Back Directory | [Biological Activity]
Adamantyl galactosylceramide (adaGalCer)a glycosphingolipid (GSL) analogmodulates abnormal GSL turnover. It functions as an inhibitor and an alternative substrate to regulate cellular GSL metabolism in a particular manner. AdaGalCer blocks cell sulfatide synthesis and microsomal globotriaosyl ceramide (Gb3) synthesis. It reduces glucosylceramide (GlcCer) levels in normal and lysosomal storage disease (LSD) cells. |
