Picloram trolamine is produced commercially by neutralising picloram acid with trolamine (triethanolamine) under controlled aqueous conditions. The process begins with synthesis of technical picloram, which is purified and dissolved in water or a suitable solvent. Trolamine is then added gradually to adjust pH and form the stable picloram trolamine salt.
