Cy7 carboxylic acid is a free non-activated NIR (near-infrared fluorescent) dye. It is a non-sulfonated reagent with good solubility in organic solvents and limited aqueous solubility. The carboxylic acid can react with primary amines in the presence of activators such as EDC and HATU.
