Isoadiantone is a triterpenoidal compounds belonging to the adiantane group. Chromatographic fractionation of the alcoholic extract of the dried fronds of Adiantum capillus-veneris L. (Adiantaceae) Biological studies of the total alcoholic extract of dried fronds of Adiantum capillus-veneris L. (Adiantaceae), from which isoadiantone was isolated, show an anti-inflammatory activity and the hypoglycemic study of the total alcoholic extract showed a significant activity.
