Wetting agent is the material that decreases the contact
angle of a liquid on a surface. It is a substance added to a
liquid spray to reduce the surface tension of the applied
droplets. It helps the liquid to penetrate more easily into
(or to spread over the surface of) another material.
The example of wetting agents are soaps, alcohol,
fatty acids, etc.
