This is used in Ayurvedic medicine for its anti-inflammatory and immune regulatoryproperties (Kapoor 2000). Several pieces of research have shown evidence of itspotential in terms of anticancer activity (Cragg and Newman 2005; Jain et al. 2014).This plant contains the compounds required to act as a substitute for the syntheticflavopiridol medication used to control breast cancer (Kumara et al. 2012). The juiceof mahogany is thus served as traditional medication to cure cancer (Kapoor 2000).
