Beschreibung

A third homoerythrina alkaloid found in Schelharnmera pedunculata F. Muell., the structure has been shown to be 2-hydroxysche1hammericine. It has [α]_D + 186° (CHC1₃) and forms a crystalline hydrobromide, m.p. 276°C and the acetate, m.p. 143-4°C; [α]_D + 242° (CHC1₃).
