Beschreibung
Pegademase bovine is an orphan drug for the treatment of severe combined
immunodeficiency disease due to the Iack of adenosine deaminase. It is
specifically indicated for those patients who are not suitable for, or who have had
unsuccessful bone marrow transplantation. Attachment of PEG residues to the native
enzyme results in significant increase in circulating half-life and reduction in allergic
potential.
