Beschreibung
One of the numerous alkaloids isolated from Aspidosperma species, this base
occurs in A. refractum Mart. It is laevorotatory with [α]
D - 150° (CHCI3). The
ultraviolet spectrum in EtOH is typical of these imidazolidinocarbazole alkaloids
with absorption maxima at 208, 253, 278 and 288 mf.1.. The original structure
has recently been revised to that given above.
