cyclopropylidenetriphenylphosphorane is a fairly stable
ylide, capable of withstanding elevated reaction temperatures of approximately 60-65 °C. The
ylide is sensitive to moisture and air and should be freshly prepared under anhydrous conditions
under an inert atmosphere.
