Purpurea glycosides A and B have structures identical to those of lanatosides A and B, but with no
acetyl group on the third digitoxose. Therefore, the purpurea glycosides A and B sometimes are
called desacetyl digilanides A and B. Their sequences are as follows: purpurea glycoside A,
glucose-(digitoxose)3-digitoxigenin; and purpurea glycoside B, glucose-(digitoxose)3-gitoxigenin.
There is no purpurea glycoside C.
