Beschreibung

This novel quinolinone alkaloid occurs in the tumourogenic plant Meolchia tornentosa. The structure, as that containing a fuzed seven-membered ring, has been determined by X-ray crystallography using direct methods.

Occurrence

Melochinone is an alkaloid isolated from Melochia tomentosa L.
