Bioban CS-1135 is the trade name for the two compounds
3,4-dimethyloxazolidine (74.8%) and 3,4,4-trimethyloxazolidine
(2.5%). It is a formaldehyde releaser
used as a preservative in latex paints and emulsions and
in cooling fluids. Dimethyl oxazolidine is found in some
cosmetics. Bioban CS-1135 can be a sensitizer per se,
in patients without formaldehyde allergy.
