Beschreibung

Solanum tripartitum Dunal yields two closely related alkaloids which have been found to possess marked antitumour activity. This base is a colourless oil, the structure of which has been established as trans-hexadec-2-enoylsolamine. Hydro_x0002_genation yields the dihydro derivative, identical with Solapalmitine (q.v.).
