Beschreibung
Geraniol is one of the allergens of Ylang-Ylang
(Cananga odorata). It is contained in the "fragrance
mi x".
Kontakt-Allergie
Geraniol is an olefinic terpene, constituting the chief
part of rose oil and oil of palmarosa. It is also found in
many other essential oils such as citronella, lemon
grass, or ylang-ylang (Cananga odorata Hook.f. and
Thoms.). It is contained in most fine fragrances and in
“fragrance mix.” As a fragrance allergen, geraniol has
to be mentioned by name in cosmetics within the EU.
