Asarone is a colorless tryst. M.P. 66-67℃. B.P. 296℃. Pure Asarone is reported to be virtually
odorless and tasteless. However, available samples of the material have in experiments
shown perceptible influence upon the odor of
compositions containing lower boiling perfume materials. Insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol and
oils.
