Beschreibung

This alkaloid, isolated from Schelhammera pedunculata F. Muell, has the homoerythrina structure given above which is based upon chemical and spectroscopic evidence and comparison with the two following bases. It is dextrorotatory with [α]_D + 122° (CHCI₃). A methoxyl and a methylenedioxy group are present as su bstituents.
