Beschreibung
The leaves of Alstonia macrophylla Wall contain this alkaloid which forms colourless crystals from MeOH and is laevorotatory with a specific rotation of [α]~ -
147° (CHCI3). The ultraviolet spectrum in EtOH as three absorption maxima at
231,283 and 295 nm.
