An alkaloid, closely related to the preceding base, which has been isolated from Nerine Krigeii and has [α] _D + 210° (CHCI 3). The ultraviolet spectrum exhibits a broad absorption maximum at 280-285 ffiJ1. The base may be characterized as the methiodide, m.p. 235-7°C (dec.) and the methoperchlorate, m.p. 248-9°C (dec. ).
