Uses
TACA is a GABAAand GABACagonist or antagonist for use in the treatment of vascular diseases, also used in the studies on cancer vaccines and carbohydrate epitopes.
Biological Activity
The trans-isomer of CACA. Potent GABA A agonist, GABA uptake inhibitor and substrate for GABA-T. Also GABA C agonist.
in vivo
TACA is a potent competitive inhibitor of GABA uptake in rat brain slices and thus is possibly a substrate for the GABA uptake system[3].
