This reagent can efficiently label proteins and peptides in purely aqueous solution without any organic co-solvent and thus is Ideal for low solubility proteins and proteins prone to denaturation. Sulfo-Cyanine3 NHS ester can replace Cy3, Alexa Fluor 546, and DyLight 549.

Chemical Properties

Water soluble Cy3 active ester, CAS No. 1424150-38-8 (sodium salt), dark red crystals, very high in water, good in polar organic solvents (DMF, DMSO). Storage condition: 24 months in -20°C. Transportation: up to 3 weeks at room temperature. Avoid prolonged exposure to light, drying out.
