Uses
Archaeosine or nucleoside G*-15, is a known nucleoside in the tRNA sequence characterized by a 7-deazaguanosine core structure. It is present only in Archea and the remarkable similarities with queuosine(N925205), present in Eukarya and Bacteria, suggests a common biosynthesic origin.
Definition
ChEBI: A 7-deazaguanine ribonucleoside having 7-formamidino-7-deazaguanine as the nucleobase. It is found in the majority of archaeal tRNAs specifically at position 15 of the dihydrouridine loop (D-loop), a position not modified in either eukaryotic or bacterial RNA.
