Arlacel (165) is a very good, acid-stable emulsifier. It keeps the oil and water molecules together to maintain a product’s integrity and has no effect on the skin. Arlacel is a trade name for a glyceryl stearate and Peg 100 stearate mixture, sometimes also listed as a combination of glyceryl monostearate and Poe stearate.?? ??

Strong oxidizing acids may cause a vigorous reaction that is sufficiently exothermic to ignite the reaction products. Heat is also generated by the interaction of esters with caustic solutions. Flammable hydrogen is generated by mixing esters with alkali metals and hydrides.????
