Description

(1S)-(+)-2-Azabicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-en-3-one is a precursor to the enantiomers of the carbocyclic nucleoside carbovir. Has been demonstrated that (-)-carbovir is a potent inhibitor of HIV-1 and based on clinical trials could become an alternative to AZT.
