Description
Anastrozole is a third generation aromatase inhibitor that has been shown to effectively eliminate the conversion of androgens to estrogens in peripheral tissues. It inhibits human placental aromatase in vitro with an IC50 value of 15 nM and at doses 100–200 times its maximally effective aromatase inhibitory dose, does not interfere with the biosynthesis of other steroids, including cholesterol, cortisol, and aldosterone. Marketed under the trade name Arimidex?, anastrozole has been used to treat estrogen receptor-positive breast cancers in post-menopausal women.More related product prices
