Description
Eserine is a parasympathomimetic, specifically, a reversible cholinesterase inhibitor obtained from the Calabar bean, used to treat glaucoma and delayed gastric emptying. This compound has been used as a positive control in a study investigating acetylcholinesterase inhibitors for potential antihelminthic drug targets.
