Analytische Chemie

Die analytische Chemie ist ein Teilgebiet der Chemie mit dem Ziel chemische Substanzen zu identifizieren sowie deren Menge zu bestimmen. Demnach umfasst die analytische Chemie die qualitative Analyse, die quantitative Analyse und die Strukturanalytik. Bei der qualitativen Analyse wird untersucht, ob bestimmte chemische Elemente oder Verbindungen in einer Probe nachweisbar sind. Bei der quantitativen Analyse wird die Menge eines chemischen Elements oder einer Verbindung bestimmte und bei der Strukturanalytik wird die chemische Struktur der Elemente und Verbindungen ermittelt. Die häufigsten Einsatzgebiete der analytischen Chemie sind die Umweltanalytik, die Lebensmittelanalytik sowie die Prozesskontrolle und -regelung. In der Umweltanalytik werden Boden, Luft und Wasser analysiert, um z. B. Schwermetalle, Abgase oder Pestizide zu bestimmen. In der Lebensmittelanalytik werden Lebensmittel z.B. nach Schwermetallen oder Chemikalienrückstände untersucht. Bei der Prozesskontrolle und Prozessregelung wird z. B. die Produktausbeute überwachtet oder die Produktqualität kontrolliert.
