| Synthesis | General procedure for the synthesis of ethyl tetrahydropyran-4-yl-acetate from ethyl 2-(dihydro-2H-pyran-4(3H)-ylidene)acetate: ethyl tetrahydro-4H-pyran-4-ylidene acetate (16.0 g, 94 mmol) was reacted with Pd/NH4COOH at 80 °C to give the colorless oily product ethyl tetrahydropyran-4-yl-acetate.
