| Description | The stem bark of Zanthoxylum decaryi yields this alkaloid which forms orange
needles when purified by recrystallization from MeOH-CHC13. It gives a complex
ultraviolet spectrum in EtOH having absorption maxima at 249, 257, 277, 326
and 382 nm with shoulders at 285 and 335 nm. The structure has been determined
