Karavilagenin D Usage And Synthesis
DescriptionKaravilagenin D exhibits inhibitory effects on skin-tumor promotion in an in vivo two-stage mouse skin carcinogenesis test based on 7,12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene (DMBA) as initiator, and with TPA as a promoter. Karavilagenin D exhibits inhibition effect against human cancer cell lines.
UsesKaravilagenin D, a cucurbitane-type triterpene isolated from Japanese bitter melon leaves, is a potential tumor-promoting inhibitor[1].
