| Uses | Anti-FST polyclonal antibody is used to tag follistatin protein for detection and quantitation by Western blotting and in cells and tissues by immunohistochemical (IHC) techniques. It is used as a probe to study the possible roles of follistatin in the regulation of TGF-β superfamily mediated processes such as those regulated by myostatin/GDF8 and activin. | | Biological Activity | PHF20L1 (PHD finger protein 20-like 1) interacts with monomethylated lysine 142 on DNMT1 (DNA methyltransferase 1). It helps chromatin loading of DNMT1 and also protects it from proteasomal degradation. PHF20L1 might play a crucial role in epigenetic inheritance. The gene is overexpressed in breast cancer and is linked with shorter survival of patients. Absence of PHF20L1 activity suppresses cell proliferation in breast cancer cell lines. |
