Storage conditions:

Stability:
1. Light calcium carbonate: amorphous powder, tasteless and odorless. Slightly hygroscopic, stable in dry air, and decomposes in acid. Heavy calcium carbonate: white powder, odorless and tasteless. Stable in the air. Almost insoluble water, slightly soluble in water containing ammonium salt or iron trioxide. When it meets with dilute acetic acid, dilute hydrochloric acid, etc., it will boil and dissolve. When heated, it will release carbon dioxide and generate calcium oxide. Its activity is greater than that of ordinary calcium carbonate, and it has strengthening properties. Activated calcium carbonate: easy to disperse in the rubber, can improve the reinforcement. Calcium carbonate is divided into light calcium carbonate, heavy calcium carbonate and colloidal calcium carbonate. The particle size of light calcium carbonate is about 5μm.
2. Calcium carbonate whiskers belong to aragonite structure, white powder. Needle-shaped or fibrous single crystals. It is a fibrous substance with good dispersibility and uniform size. The aspect ratio of the whiskers is 20-30, and the melting point is 759°C. High strength, good heat insulation performance, and good compatibility with resin.
3. Calcium carbonate has three isoforms: calcite, aragonite and vaterite. Natural limestone is almost entirely calcite. The chemical method is a colorless crystalline powder, which is almost insoluble in water.
