Carbenicillin sodium is a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic. It is resistant to Enterobacteriaceae such as Escherichia coli, Proteus, Enterobacter, Citronella, Salmonella and Shigella, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa , Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria and other Gram-negative bacteria have antibacterial effects.
