When heated to 100 ° C, 10 crystalline waters are lost, and when heated to 400 ° C, 12 crystalline waters are lost and become anhydrous. Soluble in water, dilute acid, insoluble in alcohol. Soluble in water as a purplish-red solution, heated to 70℃ becomes a green solution, after cooling gradually purple. Moisture absorption, weathering in dry air.

Preparation: 

98% potassium dichromate and 98% sulfuric acid were dissolved in the mother liquor of chromium alum according to the theoretical amount, and wood chips were slowly added under stirring for reduction. The reaction temperature is controlled at no more than 80℃, after the end of the reaction, the slow crystallization is left, the mother liquor is separated by centrifugation, the crystallization is washed with a small amount of cold water, and then dried at low temperature to obtain chromium-potassium sulfate finished product.
