Propylene glycol phenyl ether PPH is a colorless transparent liquid with a slightly fruity flavor. As a green coating additive, it is non-toxic and environmentally friendly, and has a significant effect on reducing the VOC of the coating.

It is a special polymerizing agent and solvent for latex coatings, which can give the best bonding performance of latex paint. It is a strong solvent of all kinds of polymers such as vinyl acetate, acrylic acid, styro-acrylic acid, small water solubility, lower than the volatilization rate of water, to ensure that it is completely absorbed by latex particles, the formation of excellent continuous film, so as to give the latex paint the best cohesion and color development, at the same time has good storage stability. Propylene glycol phenyl ether has high boiling point, good miscibility, moderate volatilization rate, excellent coalescence and coupling ability, and has significant effect on improving the leveling, gloss and fullness of coating film. As an excellent solvent with high boiling point and a modification agent, it can replace the toxic or odorous isoferone, benzyl alcohol, ethylene glycol ether, etc.

As a green and environmentally friendly film forming agent, the product has been optimized. In latex paint, it can effectively coalesce, soften and fuse emulsion particles, so that the film forming temperature of emulsion is greatly reduced, which is conducive to the construction and application of latex paint. Compared with ordinary film forming additives (such as alcohol-fat-12), the amount of propylene glycol phenyl ether PPH can be reduced by 30% ~ 50% when the film is fully formed, with the same gloss, fluidity, flow resistance, color spread and scrub resistance, the comprehensive film forming efficiency can be increased by 1.5 ~ 2 times, and the production cost can be significantly reduced.

In addition, the addition of the product, not only has a certain wetting dispersion effect, but also can improve the uniformity and stability of the paint in the latex paint, for the paint film scrubbing resistance, freeze-thaw stability, adhesion, mechanical strength has a certain promotion effect.
