Characteristics MB is soluble in alcohol, acetone and ethyl acetate, and difficultly soluble in petroleum ether and dichloromethane, but insoluble in tetrachloromethane, benzene and water. It is bitter and non-toxic, its relative density is 1.42 ± 0.02g/cm3.
Applications MB can resist harmful Copper and adverse effects caused by over curing. It delays accelerator M, DM and TMTD, and produces synergistic effects with antioxidant amines or phenols. Usually used in making wires and cables, transparent products, also as heat stabilizer for PE or PP.
