5-Hydroxyflavone
5-Hydroxyflavone is a flavonoid that has been shown to have potent antioxidant effects in vivo. It has been found to protect mitochondria from oxidative damage by inhibiting the production of reactive oxygen species and increasing the mitochondrial membrane potential. The chemical stability of 5-hydroxyflavone has also been demonstrated in vitro.
