Nature:

-Appearance: 7-azaindole appears as a yellow crystalline solid.

-Solubility: Soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and dichloromethane, but less soluble in water.

-Melting point: approximately 240-242 ℃.

Usage:

-Mechanism of action: 7-azaindole is a selective inhibitor of nitric oxide synthase (NOS). By inhibiting NOS activity, it can regulate the synthesis of nitric oxide and participate in regulating biological processes such as cellular signaling and anti-inflammatory responses.

-Research purposes: Due to its specific inhibitory effects, 7-azaindole is often used to study the biological function of nitric oxide synthase and has been widely applied in fields such as neuroscience, cardiovascular science, and inflammation.
