Introduction:
Anthraquinone is one kind of faint yellow or light gray crystal(powder).It is freely soluble in hot benzene and , and it is slightly soluble in ethanol . Besides it is hardly soluble in cold benzene and insoluble in water. Anthraquinone is soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid, and it is difficult to be oxidized. The reaction of Anthraquinone include: nitration, sulphonation and bromination .

Application:

It is mainly used as an important raw material for the production of Dye Intermediate and Dyes.

It also can be used as distillation agent of paper pulp in papermaking industry and as desulfurizing agent in chemical fertilizer industry. but the amount of digesting additive used as pulp has been increasing rapidly.
