| Description | Antibacterial Agent 154 (Compound 7), a Fluoroquinolone derivative, exhibits broad-spectrum efficacy against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria when administered orally. It has been shown to be effective in vivo using a mouse model of staphylococcal sepsis [1]. |
| In vitro | Antibacterial agent 154 (compound 7) inhibits Gram-positive bacteria with minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of 4 μg/mL for M. luteus, and 2 μg/mL for B. subtilis, S. aureus, and S. epidermidis; it also inhibits Gram-negative bacteria with MICs of 2 μg/mL for P. aeruginosa, E. coli, and S. typhimurium [1]. |
