| In vivo | In cats camonagrel (10 mg/kg i.v.) produced not only a fall in TXB2 but also a rise in 6-keto-PGF1 alpha and no change in cyclic-GMP plasma levels.[1]
camonagrel (800 mg orally) suppressed TXA2 generation by 99.5% and doubled the plasma level of 6-keto-PGF1 alpha.[1] The greatest reduction in percentage subendothelial surface occupied by platelets (mainly in the thrombi) after blood perfusion was seen after incubation with camonagrel in the range of concentrations that inhibited collagen-induced platelet aggregation. In conclusion, camonagrel reduced platelet-subendothelium interaction under flow conditions, showing this effect in a range of concentrations lower than in inhibition of platelet aggregation.[2] |
