Carbenicillin

Definition

Carbenicillin is a broad-spectrum, semi-synthetic penicillin antibiotic. It is derived from the natural penicillin structure and is effective against a wide range of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria.

Function

· Inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death.
