Diphenyldimethoxysilane (DMDPS, DDS) is an acetylation reagent that can be used as a precursor for the preparation of silica, as an electrolyte additive in lithium-ion batteries, and to prevent overcharging of batteries.

Mainly used in propylene polymerization reactions, it plays a role in improving regularity
