Application: Dithiothreitol (DTT) is a small molecule organic reducing agent, mainly used in the field of biotechnology as a protein cracking reagent. At present, the most widely used synthesis method of dithiothreitol is based on threitol as raw material. Firstly, it oxidizes with potassium permanganate, then obtains the thiointermediate under the action of thioacetic acid, and finally hydrolyzes the thiointermediate to obtain dithiothreitol.
