     Indomethacin, also known as 2-methyl-1- (4-chlorobenzoyl) -5-methoxy-1H-indole-3-acetic acid, belongs to the BCS class II of drugs. It has high permeability, low solubility, poor dissolution, and low bioavailability in vivo. Indomethacin is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and analgesic effects. It exerts anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase and reducing prostaglandin synthesis, while its antipyretic effect is related to inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the hypothalamus.
