| Description | LDL-IN-3 belongs to synthetic compounds and is an antioxidant and anti-atherosclerotic agent with good cell permeability and cardiovascular protective properties. This compound is used for the treatment of atherosclerosis-related diseases, effectively inhibiting oxidative stress and lipid deposition, and reducing arterial plaque formation. |
| In vitro | LDL-IN-3 inhibits low-density lipoprotein lipid peroxidation and can be used in anti-atherosclerotic studies[1]. |
| In vivo | Methods: Female New Zealand white rabbits were fed 0.5% cholesterol/10% corn oil feed, and given 0.15% Compound I or 0.4% Compound II (dissolved in ethanol and sprayed on feed) for 70 days.
Results: Compound I and II reduced total aortic lesion area by 96% and 45%, respectively, without causing elevated triglycerides. [2] |
