Polyethylene glycol is also used as a film coating agent, tablet lubricant, controlled release material, etc. It is used as a matrix in medicine and cosmetics, and as a dispersant, lubricant, emulsifier, etc. in industries such as rubber, metal processing, and pesticides

Application:

1. Used in medicament. Lower molecrlar weight product can be used as solvent, cosolvent and O/W emulgator, stabilizer molecrlar weight to produce emulsion and injection of cement. Also used as water solubility ointment base and suppository base. Higher molecrlar weight ceraceous solid product can be used to improve viscosity and settability of lower molecrlar weight liquid PEG. Used as carrier of solid dispersant. PEG4000 and PEG6000 are favorable capsule material, hydrophile material, webbing and bladder material, plasticier, lubricant and drop pills base to produce troche, pill, capsule and microcapsule etc.

2. Used as raw material of ester surfactant.

3. PEG200 can be used as organic synthesis medium and upper requirement heat carrier, used as humectant, inorganic salt solubilizer and viscosity regulator in daily use chemical industry. Used as softening agent and anlistatig in textile industry. Used as wetting agent in paper making industry and pesticide.

4. Peg400,PEG600 and PEG800 are used as base of leechdom and cosmetic, lubricant and wetting agent in rubber industry and textile industry. Add PEG600 in electrolyte can improve grind effective in metal processing.

5. PEG1000 and PEG1500 are used as substrate or lubricant and softening agent in medicine, textile and cosmetic industry. Used as dispersant in beaded paint and rubber industry to enhance sulfidation, used as dispersant of black carbon filler.

6. PEG2000 and PEG3000 are used as could agent, lubricant and cutting oil of metal stripping, stamping and moulding, brightener and solder for grind cooling and greasing of metal processing.

7. PEG4000 and PEG6000 are used as substrate in medicine and cosmetic industry to adjust viscosity and melting point. Used as lubricant, parting agent and clnt in rubber and metal processing industry. Used as dispersant and emulgator in pesticide and colorant industry. Used as adhesives of anlistatig, lubricant and crocus in textile industry.
